Fair grader, tells you what she's looking for. Readings can be challenging but that's why its honors. You'll learn how to write well. Very accessible outside of class, and will look over your paper, and give you feedback that'll get you an A.

Not only does she make it nearly impossible to understand what she wants from you, she grades EXTREMELY harshly. She has stupid foolish ideas like making students write an in-class essay. How is it possible to write a good 4 page essay in an hour? She claims to always feel bad for us and acts all sympathetic...DO NOT BE FOOLED. its all manipulation so that you feel compelled to do the crazy amount of work she wants from you. Stay as far away from this woman as possible. She is, simply put, an absolutely appalling professor.

She constantly gives contradictory statements about the work she wants and she does this throughout the semester.
Beware of her "Empathetic Techniques". Meaning she uses empathy to ensure that you do not get mad at her and give her good evaluations. The fact that she is also a slightly attractive woman gets her good evaluations.
DO NOT BE FOOLED!

| 02/18/2007 | 1101 - Composition and Rhetoric I | | 4.0 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 4 | Yes | Professor Lane is an excellent teacher. She is a fun, helpfu and knows writing very well. The classroom environment is very relaxed, making going to class a pleasure. Not an easy A, but you will love her class and get a lot out of it. Her biggest strength is her willingness to help students write essays. Highly recommended.
